Kelly Vincent
(they/them)
I am a writer, performer, occasional director, and disability rights advocate. My favourite thing in the world is using theatre and storytelling to help people - especially people with disabilities - to find and share their voice. I am passionate about creating work that is accessible to all and that uses stories to empower people. I believe that theatre and performance can be powerful tools for social change and that stories have the power to inspire and bring people together. I am honoured that organisations like Purple Orange give me employment that lets me contribute to a more inclusive world, both on and offstage. At the time of writing, I am studying to be a mental health peer worker. I live with my friend Todd, and two disabled cats, Bruce (amputee) and Kaz (trauma survivor). I like good food and bad jokes.
